The XL-500R is a specially designed audio frequency induction loop amplifier. It can operate on its own
or with an existing public address system. A useful safety feature is the standby mode which operates
if there is no signal input for more than 5 minutes.

There are three inputs, all electronically balanced and equipped with XLR connectors: LINE 1,
LINE 2 and MIC. LINE 1 has a switchable AGC-function with a visual LED indicator. LINE 2 and
MIC have no AGC function. The MIC input is specially designed to relay ambient sound, for example: a
choir singing or general ambient sounds. The MIC input can also handle high sensitivity microphones such
as pressure zone microphones, as a 48V phantom power supply is available on the microphone
input connector.

A bank of 4 LED's gives visual indication of loop current output from 2 to 15 amps.
The output stage is designed for use with a two turn loop. Advanced signal processing in the output
stage means that maximum speech intelligibility is maintained even at high loop currents.

The XL500R is an excellent complement to all types of sound reinforcement
systems in public areas such as assembly halls, cinemas, theaters, places of worship etc.
